Python software Engineer – Software Developer

Our client, a growing technology consultancy based in Suffolk, is recruiting the services of a Software Engineer on a permanent basis. This role would suit either a recent graduate looking for their first development role, or a junior developer looking for progression.

Depending on the level of experience, candidates can be home-based, with occasional travel to the office in Suffolk.

Candidates will ideally have with experience of coding in Python, or C++. ( other languages will be considered if willing to retrain). The role is be based in Suffolk. While some of the work can be done remotely, their will be the expectation to be work in Ipswich on a regular basis. The successful candidate will help to develop test products and also provide excellent technical support on an on-going basis.

Key Skills

• Experience of software development, ideally using Python or C++
• Some testing knowledge- and the ability to test code
• Being proactive and ability to debug and solve complex problems
• Ability to understand and break down project requirements
• Knowledge in software development methodologies such as Agile or iterative development
• Some networking knowledge/experience (IP, TCP/UDP, routing, firewalls) would be advantageous
